How to Decode Your Dreams

Have you ever considered how magical your dreams are? Dreams carry messages. They help us process what’s going on in our subconscious, and our day to day lives. We can learn so much by paying attention to our dreams.

One-third of our lives are spent sleeping. That’s almost half of our life we spend asleep! Our sleeping life is as significant as our waking life, and we can take both into account. For some, the hustle and bustle of modern life makes it difficult to get a good night's sleep, and many of us are so busy thinking of our waking life that we don’t take the time to consider our dreams.

When we dream, we are literally functioning on a different plane of reality. Everyone dreams differently, but many people can taste, feel, and see vivid color when dreaming. This is a direct example of existing out of body, as you are not in a physical body when dreaming, but still present to the sights, sounds, smells, and sights around you. Who’s to say that your life when you are dreaming isn’t just as real as when you are awake?

Your dreams are extremely specific to your being, so if you have dreams that seem more vague, or you don’t tend to dream in color, sound, or feelings doesn’t mean that your dreams don’t carry specific messages that are beneficial to you.

Pay attention to the details of your dreams. How do you feel upon waking up after a certain dream? Do you find that you often have recurring dreams?

Sometimes one of the most helpful ways to process your dreams is by journaling about them. If you are interested in paying more attention to your dreams, try keeping a dream journal by your bed. When you wake up, before you do anything else, write down anything significant about your dream.

If you are new to dream journaling, here are are a few prompts to help you get started:

  • Write down anything significant that came to you in your dream, whether it be a sight, sound or color. Let this be stream of consciousness, and don’t judge what you write down.
  • Are there any messages from your dream that you can interpret intuitively? What did your dream mean to you?
  • How did your dream make you feel emotionally?
  • Was your dream a recurring dream?
  • How did your dreams reflect your current waking reality?

May you receive the messages given to you from your dream state, and blessings on your dreaming journey from us at Saged! And if you want a rad tool to help you keep track of your dreams and your insights, check out the Dream Journal by Magic Of I and get 10% off with code SAGED!
