Hathor’s Initiation · A practice for real life
Meet Hathor
Hathor was one of ancient Egypt’s most beloved goddesses: joy, music, dancing, love and beauty. The Golden One. Her best story starts with rage. Ra sent her to punish humanity and she became Sekhmet, a lioness who wouldn’t stop. So the gods brewed a lake of beer, dyed it red, and let her drink. She fell asleep and woke up as the goddess of joy again. Humanity was saved by a party. The lesson: ignored joy turns into rage, and the cure is pleasure.
